You may well be considering a working from home typing job, a typing based job that allows you to work from your own home on your own computer. The problem is where do you start, where do you find these home typing jobs?
Surprisingly your search should start right outside your front door rather than on the internet. Why? Well there may well be small businesses that need help and you could be the person to help them. Many small business owners may just work for themselves or have one or two members of staff. Ironically they are often too busy to go out and find a person work for them, they just do not have the time to place job ads, sift through application and interview potential applicants.
Many one and two person enterprises often find that al the computer work gets ignored till the last minute as they do not like doing it, they don't have the time to do it and many are not too good on computers and it takes them ages to type letters, send emails and do other office based computer work.
If you approach these people that are often delighted that someone can help them out. You could offer your services to them, typing their letters, quotes, invoices and so on. Obviously you would need to sort out the details but it may work something like this. You can access their emails from your home, with their permission, and answer urgent emails such as quote requests. You may have to print off letters and quotes and post them off or send them via email. You then agree a price for this service based on how many hours a week you think you may be working for them.
For this type of work you would need to meet them face to face initially and be contactable by phone through out the day. You will need to show that you are trustworthy and that you could save them time and money. Explain that you could do all the admin giving back their time to do what they do best, run their business. Explain that they will only need to pay you for the work you do and that they will not have to pay holiday pay, maternity and so on.
Alternatively if you just wanted to start small and gradually build up to larger jobs why not start doing paid opinion surveys online. You can work from home getting paid every time you provide feedback and give your opinion on different subjects. It costs nothing to get started and requires minimal commitment to get started. A good way to test the waters if you are not too sure if working from home is for you.
